Tetrahedral Finite Elements Finite Elements can be used for the solution of differential equations, and also the interpolation and approximation of data. The talk will focus on tetrahedron based elements for problems involving three independent variables. I'll describe several existing $C^1$ schemes and a recently developed $C^2$ scheme. I'll also describe some mathematical and computational machinery that seems indispensable in the development of the more complex elements. The seminar will take place in our computing lab and you will be able to experiment with element design yourself.
