Necessary conditions for G-closure in linear conductivity by Markku Miettinen University of Jyvaskyla, Finland joint work with Andrej Cherkaev, University of Utah JTB 110, 3:30pm Thursday, April 22, 1999 Abstract The necessary condition technique is applied to the G-closure problems of (possibly) anisotropic linearly conducting materials in two dimensions (G-closure= a set of all possible composites made of original phases). By means of it we are able to find new inner approximations for G-closures, which are stable against the studied variations.
