SYNOPSIS

play [-f start] [-l end] [-i increment] [-z zoom] [-c color map]

DESCRIPTION

play executes emovie without the need for specifying optional commands. The execution of play can be modified by options, but the purpose of play is to avoid memorizing and typing the options for emovie. play reads visual.dat to get options for emovie that are specifically required for the current simulation. The data in visual.dat should include an appropriate version of the following.

                 path pathname
                 base image 
                 height 512 
                 width 256 
                 color cmap 
                 zoom 1 
                 increment 1 
                 first 1 
                 last 100

play interpretes the following options.

• -c cmap - Name of the color map utilized by play.
• -f first-frame - First frame number to be animated.
• -i increment - Number of files skipped between the displayed frames
• -l last-frame - Last frame number to be animated.
• -z zoom - Integer valued zoom factor

While play can be modified, the purpose of play is to provide an interface to emovie that does not require optional arguments to run.
