Course description The course
discusses analytic functions, complex integration, Cauchy integral
theorem, power series for analytic functions, Laurent series, residues,
and contour integrals, conformal mappings with applications to
electrostatics, heat, and fluid flow.
Grading: The homework will count for 20 % of the
grade, two midterms will be 25 % each, and the final exam will make up
the remaining 30 % of the grade.
Homework: Homework will be assigned every week and collected on
Tuesdays, and some portion of the problems will be
graded. Late homework will not be accepted.You are encouraged to
discuss homework problems with friends and make study groups, but each
homework should be written individually. (Copying someone else's work
will be punished).
