Assignments
Except otherwise noted, there will be weekly assignments every Friday, due the following Friday.  If you know ahead of time you will be absent on a Friday, please make alternative arrangements with me prior to the class.  Otherwise, late submissions will not be accepted.  Some assignments will be longer and hence weighted more than others.  Their exact weighting will be announced towards the end of the course.

Tests/Final Examination
There will be five 50-minute tests during the semester.  Please refer to the Tentative Course Schedule for the dates and scopes of these tests.

The final examination will be comprehensive.  It has been scheduled for Wednesday, May 2 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm.  You may check this information on the following web page:

 http://www.saff.utah.edu/regist/s01finals.htm

The location of the examination will be announced later.

If you know ahead of time you will be unable to write any of the tests or final examination at the scheduled time, you must make alternative arrangements prior to the test/exam date.  Once the test/exam date is past, no make-up will be allowed except for truly extraordinary reasons.
