Student Code: http://www.admin.utah.edu/ppmanual/8/8-10.html
Class attendance : Class attendance is expected. You
will be solely responsible for missed handouts or announcements made
during lecture. If you cannot attend a particular lecture, make sure
that you stay informed regarding the information provided during that
lecture.
Homework: You are encouraged to discuss the homework
problems with your fellow students but the solutions should be written
down separately. However, for obvious reasons, you should first
attempt to solve these problems on your own. NO LATE HOMEWORK WILL
BE ACCEPTED except in case of a legitimate excuse. If for some reason
you are not able to turn in your homework assignment before its
deadline
you will need to inform the instructor in advance.
Midterms and Final Exam: The midterms and the final exam
are to be written individually, any collaboration is
prohibited. No calculators will be permited while you take
these tests. Make-up tests will be given only in case of a legitimate
(documented) excuse. If for some reason you are not able to take a
particular test at the scheduled time, you will need to inform the
instructor in advance.
Regrades: I view as very important that the
students review every single graded homework assignment or midterm to
check
for feedback and grading accuracy. I take this opportunity to
encourage you to discuss with me any questions that you might have
regarding your homework assignments or midterms.
Special Accomodations: The ADA requires that reasonable
accomodations be provided for students with physical, sensory,
cognitive,
systemic, learning, and psychiatric disabilities. Students eligible for
special accomodations are strongly encouraged to discuss their needs
with
me at the beginning of the semester. I will be happy to make such
arrangements.
